Zig Zags OSHC supports a fun positive contribution to learning life skills and building self confidence. The setting provides an environment to socialise, play and have fun with their friends.
Opening Times
7.00-8.45am & 3.00-6.00pm Monday – Friday during School term. (Beldon, Hocking, Mullaloo Beach and Greenwood commence from 6.30am).
We are open for School Development Days from 7am-6pm (from 6.30am Beldon, Mullaloo Beach, Hocking and Greenwood). Children attending other primary schools welcome to attend.
Parents connection
Zig Zags OSHC provides password protected journals with remote login to view what your child has been doing throughout the week.
Child-led curriculum
Our child led curriculum is based on children's interests, intentional teaching and providing meaningful play and leisure opportunities to support each child's wellbeing and development.
All interactions, planned and unplanned experiences, activities, routines which occur in our environment, foster children's wellbeing, development and learning.
The foundation of our curriculum is the 'My Time, Our Place' framework for school age care in Australia. This guides Educators in their curriculum decision making and assists them in their planning, implementing and evaluating and providing quality care.
Safety
Kindergarten, Preprimary and Junior students are escorted to and from Zig Zags OSHC and the classroom. Our staff are also available to escort your child to on-ground activities such as music lessons, tutoring or sport as required.
All staff are trained in first aid, asthma & anaphylactic care and no staff member will be present without a current Working With Children check.
Healthy food
Children attending before & after school care are offered a healthy breakfast and afternoon tea.
Children only require the items already in their school bag – a water bottle, hat and change of clothes if preferred.
